Copyright

The author(s) or editor(s) retains copyright on work published by AOSIS, unless specified otherwise.

Licensing and publication rights
AOSIS requires scholarly book authors and editors to publish their work in open access under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NonDerivative International (CC BY-NC-ND) licence. Publication under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license is also available. A third option is to publish in the traditional all rights reserved model, in which case the content will only be open access after an embargo period.

Usage

AOSIS is primarily an open access publisher, which means that all published content is freely available without charge to the reader. Readers are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the books, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author, provided that the work is appropriately cited.
